Summary of Question 4
Sections 3 to 7 of Chapter 44B of the General Laws of Massachusetts, also known as the Community Preservation Act, was accepted by the Town of Duxbury at its 2001 Annual Town Meeting and approved by the voters at the Annual Town Election on March 24, 2001. The original acceptance did not include an exemption from the Community Preservation Act for property owned and occupied as a domicile for a person who would qualify for low income housing or low to moderate income senior housing in Duxbury. The 2002 Annual Town Meeting voted to add this exemption subject to approval by the voters of this question. The exemption, if approved by the voters, shall be effective commencing July 1, 2003.

Question 4: Shall the Town of Duxbury vote to amend certain provisions of the acceptance of the Community Preservation Act by the Town adding an exemption for property owned and occupied as a domicile for a person who would qualify for low income housing or low to moderate income senior housing in Duxbury as summarized below?
